Full description
La Fragua operates year-round, from Monday to Saturday. It is located 34 km east of San Carlos de Bariloche, about a 45-minute trip approximately. It is an old renovated rural school, situated at the foot of one of the largest condor nests in the area.
The ranch is located within the incredible Patagonian steppe, allowing us to ride through irregular, undulating terrain, with ups and downs, crossing streams and brooks, with rock formations that offer us wonderful landscapes and represent the oldest geological remnants in the area.
The horses are our own, very well cared for and gentle, accustomed to being ridden by different people of various physical builds, so no experience is necessary and it is possible to enjoy as a family. Children from 2 years old can participate in the excursion.
Before starting, we will welcome you with a field breakfast consisting of fried cakes, regional sweets, and infusions. During the ride, you can spot typical wildlife that lives in its natural state, such as deer (which are difficult to spot, as they tend to flee from noise and people) and the Andean condor, the largest flying land bird in the world. After the ride, you can relax in the lounge and enjoy a typical barbecue accompanied by drinks, salad, and dessert.
The horseback rides are designed for the whole family: no riding skills are necessary, just follow the guide's instructions and let yourself be gently led by our equine host. We have bilingual guides (English and Portuguese).

Cancellations
Cancel more than 72 hours in advance: we refund 100%. Between 72 and 48 hours: 75%. Between 48 and 24 hours: 50%. Less than 24 hours: no refund. If the outing is canceled due to weather conditions or by the operator's decision, it will be rescheduled for another date or 100% of the payment will be refunded.

¿Hace falta saber andar a caballo?+
No. Los caballos son propios, mansos y están acostumbrados a ser montados por diferentes personas. Sólo hay que atender las instrucciones del guía.
¿Desde qué edad se puede hacer?+
Los niños pueden cabalgar a partir de los 2 años. Los menores de hasta 4 años no abonan pero deben ser informados al momento de reservar.
Estoy embarazada, ¿puedo participar?+
Personas gestantes no pueden realizar la cabalgata, pero sí disfrutar de las instalaciones de la estancia y del almuerzo, abonando tarifa de menor.
¿Está incluido el traslado?+
Sí, en servicio regular desde un único punto de encuentro: Mitre y Villegas.
¿Qué días funciona?+
Todo el año, de lunes a sábados, con salidas a las 09:30 y a las 15:30.

Unas 2 horas por terrenos irregulares y ondulados, cruzando vados y arroyos, entre formaciones rocosas. Se puede avistar ciervos y cóndor andino.
